The name Gaither has become somewhat synonymous with Gospel music. Married for fifty years and mutually committed towards serving a higher purpose, this highly regarded couple has become an integral part of the Gospel Music foundation. In acknowledgement of their contributions to the Gospel Music industry, the husband and wife singer-songwriting duo have collectively won eight Grammy Awards, more than two dozen Dove Awards including the title of Gospel Music Association’s “Songwriter of the Year” eight times, the ASCAP Songwriters of the Century Award and induction into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The couple has collaboratively produced over 700 Gospel songs, including popular cornerstones of Hymnal and Gospel worship services like “Because He Lives,” “The King Is Coming,” “Something Beautiful,” “He Touched Me,” “It Is Finished,” “There’s Something About That Name,” “Let’s Just Praise The Lord,” and “Loving God, Loving Each Other.” Considering all of the success the couple has experience, Bill and Gloria Gaither remain humble, grateful and joyfully willing to continue spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through their musical endeavors.
