If one human being fully encapsulates the self-destructive temptations of sin, as well as the inconceivable, awe-inspiring redemptive power of salvation through Jesus Christ, it is Brian “Head” Welch. Brian Phillip Welch, better known by the nickname “Head,” is currently most known as the co-founder and guitarist of popular metal band Korn. After personally encountering our Lord Jesus and becoming a Christian, Brian’s radical reconciliation with his Father and personal transformation made it impossible for him to return to his pervious life despite the fame, prosperity and recognition. After this surreal encounter, God didn’t wait long to start using Brian’s spiritual gifts of musicianship and creativity for His own glory. In 2005, Brian left Korn to reset his primary focus on being a father and pursuing a God-centered, solo career. In 2008, Brian released his debut solo album, “Save Me From Myself,” which appeared on several Billboard charts. Brian has used his newest project, Love and Death, for another exalted purpose, one that is faith-inspired and glorifying of God. The band’s self-titled debut album was released in early 2013 through Tooth & Nail Records. Consistent with his previous works, Welch continues to provide listeners and believers with impactful lyrics and talented musicianship. Christians will encounter an honest sound, one that transparently depicts the struggles and triumphs that characterize living out one’s faith in a real world context.
